Walgreens 3/27....Savings of 98%

I just couldn't keep myself away from Walgreens this week. I am going to have to do some major Walgreens shopping in the near future to use up some of my $69.50 in RR! I basically paid just tax (around $4 OOP) yesterday for all of this and earned $13 in RR. So another moneymaking day at Walgreens! Here is the breakdown:

Osteo Bi-Flex (6) $59.94
-BOGO Sale (took off $29.97)
-(6) $6/1 MQs
-$3 RR Earned
-$9.03 MM!

Almay (2) $9.08
-$4 WQs
-$10 RR Earned
-$4.92 MM!

Dial Nutriskin Lotion (7) $1.68 (clearance)
-$1/1 MQ (tried to use two and have second adjusted and the cashier said she would have to adjust the price of the item or it would be "fraudulant". However, since she had already started to scan coupons, she couldn't go back and adjust or void or something. I told her not to worry about it and paid for them. These will be donated!)
-$.68 or $.10 each

Poptarts $2.50
-needed these to cover overage of Osteo Bi-Flex

Huggies Wipes $5.99
-$2 WQ (found the book!, but they took my coupon :(
-$1/1 MQ
-$2.99 or $.0138 per wipe!

My OOP compared to the value made it a saving of 98%. I love good days at Walgreens. It was just a good week actually!

Walgreens 3/24.... Savings of 88%

So, 88% doesn't sound that high for Walgreens. However, I didn't add a filler item to my first transaction to be able to use a RR. If I would have added something small, I could have used a $5 RR and had a savings of 99%.

I read on another blog about the Osteo Bi-Flex ringing up BOGO so I decided to try that out and it worked. I told the cashier that she would have to adjust one of the coupons down and she did. However, the manager was there and said it should go though for the full amount. He backed off the adjusted coupon, scanned it again, and voila. I got overage from a coupon at Walgreens because of the awesome manager!

Osteo Bi-Flex (2) $19.98
-(2) $6/1 MQs
-BOGO Sale ($9.99)
-$1 RR Earned
-$3.01 MM!

Pedialyte (2) $10
-(2) $1.50/1
-$1.50 RR Earned
-$5.50 or $2.75 each

Always Pads/Liners (2) $5.98
-(2) $1/1 MQs
-$4 RR Earned
-$.02 MM!

Almay Make-up Remover (2) $8.38
-(2) $2/1 WQ
-$10 RR Earned
-$5.62 MM!

I started off with $47 in RR and ended the day with $55.50. This is a gain of $8.50 in RR. If I subtract what I paid OOP from this, my overall trip was a $3.15 MM!

It's hard to not go back for more of the easy MMs!

Walgreens 3/23...HUGE MM DAY!!!

So, I went to 4 different Walgreens as to not clear any shelves. I don't remember how many RR I had to start with, but I now have $47. I think I may have had right around $20 so a huge gain! Here is how I did:

Almay Make-Up Remover (5) $21.65
-(5) $2/1 WQ ($10)
-$1.10 BOGO 1/2 off sale
-$25 RR Earned
-$14.45 MM!

Snickers Egg (10) $5
-(5) $1/2 MQs
-Free!

Reach Toothbrushes (12)$23.88
-(4) $2/2 MQs
-$3/3 MQ
-$.50/1 MQ
-$12 RR Earned
-$.99 in-ad Q (took off $12)
-$11.62 MM!

So, just adding up the last dash on the 3 different items, I made over $26. It's tempting to not go back and get more make-up remover. I have looked everywhere for the $2 MQ for Almay too and can not find it anywhere!

Target 3/23....Savings of 93%

I wanted to get to Target to pick up a couple of freebies that weren't in stock when I was there last. There were also a couple of new ones I wanted to get like the Fruit Roll-Ups. I have been seeing alot of people taking those awesome $4/4 coupons to Walgreens to get Chex Mix this week, but I still have plenty of that and remembered seeing the Fruit Roll-Ups in the dollar spot at Target. Here is how I did:

Olay Bars (4) $3.88
-(4) $1/1 MQs
-$.12 MM!

Fruit Roll-Ups (8) $8
-(2) $4/4 MQs
-Free!

CVS 3/21....All Free or MMs!

There wasn't a whole lot I wanted to get at CVS, but I was close by and I decided I would stop and see what coupons would print for me. Here is what I ended up getting:

Target 3/19....Savings of 90%

My Goodlife Recipe Cat Food coupons came in the mail this week and I wanted to get to Target and use them before they were sold out. The pet aisle was actually one of the last places I went and I was really upset to not see the Goodlife Recipe on the shelf anymore. Luckily, as we kept walking, I found them on an endcap and was able to stock up. Here is how I did:

Goodlife Recipe Cat Food (20) $13 (clearance)
-(20) $1.50/1 MQs
-$17 MM!

Oscar Mayer Lunchmeat (3) $9.57
-$2/3 TQ
-$7.57 or $2.52 each (not great, but we needed it!)

-$1.50 or $.75 each

My subtotal was $67.26. After coupons and tax I paid $14.66 and got a $5 gift card back. I had left the $5 gift card I had at home, so my OOP could have been lower....oh well I still saved 90%!

Bzzz Agent!!!!!

First....Sorry the pictures are terrible!

But, I haven't checked my Bzz Agent account in quite some time. When I looked about a week or so ago, I had two awesome invites and I am loving them now :)

I was fortunate enough to get the invite to the Maybeline 24 Super Stay Lipstick. Bzz Agent sent me FOUR tubes of this long lasting lipstick to try and share with my friends. I have used it everyday since I received the package in the mail. I love the applicator on it and it makes it feel more like a longwear lipgloss rather than lipstick!

I received the Spring Cleaning Kit that included Scrubbing Bubbles items, Glade, Pledge and you can see from the picture below. I am most excited about the Glade candle. It is a lime scent and it smells amazing. I am not just saying that because I got it for free thtough Bzz Agent either!

I am also a fan of Air Wick Plug-Ins and was excited to read that the Glade Plug-In that came in the Spring Cleaning Kit works in the Air Wick Warmers!

Walgreens 3/17....Saved 100%... just paid tax :)

I had five BOGO Right Guard coupons left and I wanted to try to use them at Walgreens this week. Haylee's molars are coming in so I had a good excuse to go to Walgreens. I took a Baby Orajel $1/1 MQ with me, but was pleased to find a Try Me Free Sticker on Humphrey's Teething Relief Strips.

I paid $6.56 OOP for all of this and have sent in for the $4.99 Humphrey's MIR. Therefore, it was all free and I just paid $1.57 in tax :)

Walgreens 3/13...Savings of 98%

I have told myself I wasn't going to get too excited about Free After Register Rewards deals unless it was something that we needed or something that was a moneymaker I went against that today as everything I bought we could have done without. I need to work on being able to pass up a deal that does cost me money like today. I could have kept $1.85 in my pocket today if I didn't make this trip. Don't get me wrong, I got great deals, but it wasn't anything I "needed".

Here is what I picked up in two transactions, but listed as one:

Purex Crystals $4.99
-$2/1 MQ
-$2 RR Earned
-$.99

Clearasil Facewash (2) $7.58
-(2) $2/1 MQs

-$.29 each

Overall, I got almost $30 of stuff for $1.85 OOP (includes tax) It was a savings of 98%

Another Great Shopping Day....VS, CVS and Target!

I started my day off at Victoria's Secret because I had three coupons that I had to use there before the end of the month. Two were for free underwear and one was for $10 off ANYTHING! Here is what I picked up:

These two pair of underwear and the body butter (which is my favorite) was valued at $30 all together and I didn't even pay a penny!

I also wanted to get to Target to take back the jeans I got that didn't fit and also grab a couple of other freebies. Here is what I got there:

-$1.03 MM!

After the gift card for the returned jeans, I spent $3.82. I will be getting $2.50 back for the Frosted Mini Wheats, so I really spent $1.32 on all of this and $1.76 was tax....if that makes sense!!!

3/10..... State Basketball = Shopping Day!

So, I had the day off because Lincoln High was hosting the first round of the Boys State Basketball Tournament. I dropped Haylee off at daycare, picked up my mom and we went shopping! This post is for Walmart, Walgreens and CVS. I went to CVS and Walgreens a couple of times though ;)The pictures are all backwards from how the day happened...but that's okay!

1st Attempt of Overage at Walmart = Success!

I had to go to go to the store to get milk and bread and I thought it would be the perfect excuse to go to Walmart and try out the new coupon policy. The one thing they didn't have that I wanted was the Dial Nutriskin Lotion. I will have to go back this week and look for that. Here is how I did:

Milk (2) $5.96
- $2.98 each

Bread $1.43

Ruffles $2.98

Coffeemate Creamer (2) $3.56
-$1/2 MQ
-$2.56 or $1.28 each

Gain Dryer Sheets $1.87
-$3/1 MQ
-$1.13 MM!

Millstone Coffee (13) $21.32
-(13) $2/1 MQs
-$4.68 MM!

Overall, I had a savings of 81%. My subtotal was $37.12 and I used $30 in MQs so it brought my total down to $7.12 plus $.13 for tax!

CVS 3/5....Savings of 100+% and a glitch in the system?!

So, I had a raincheck for the Benefiber/Maalox/Gas-X from last time they had this deal. I asked my cashier if I could use the raincheck although it was this weeks deal too and she said yes! I thought I had the Olay deal figured out, but I didn't read the coupon :(

On another positive note though, I scanned my card and got $5 ECB for Beauty rewards, $3/1 Physician's Formula, $3/1 Revlon and $1/1 Glade. Well the machine ran out of paper right when it printed my coupons, so when I checked out it printed them all out again! Including the $5 ECB for the Beauty Rewards. However, the numbers under the barcode are the same and so are the numbers at the bottom right. I am guessing it will beep or something if/when I try to use the second one. I say if, because is it right to use them both when I know that it wasn't supposed to work that way? However, I never get the $/$$ anymore, so maybe I will take it and enjoy it :)

Dove Men+ Care Deoderant (2) $4
-(2) $2/1 MQs

Olay ProX Facewash $20

-I actually don't like this facewash and because it has satisfaction guaranteed on it, I am going to write/call Olay. I was hoping the coupon below was going to take off the full non-sale price of $9.49 and I was way wrong. I would have even been happy with the sale price of $6.79

Olay Body Wash $6.79

February Totals!

I have started to track my savings using the Savings Tracker. In February here is how I did:

Total Shelf Costs (after sale prices): $1063.88
Total Manufacturers Coupons Used: $410.21
Total Store Coupons/RR,ECB,GF: $441.24
Total Out of Pocket: $247.63(includes tax)

Savings Percentage = 81.29% (down 5% from last month)

STILL AMAZING!

Note** March will be my last month of formula and that will be minimal too as we are starting to introduce milk to Haylee! I don't know if I can get my OOP below my budget of $200. If I used the envelope system...maybe, but then I would be mad when there is one more weekend of great deals to be had and I didn't have any money left :)
