I need a bigger pantry!

I talked Jason in to going to Hy-Vee with me so we could get more cereal. I told him we would use the $6 catalinas on meat, and believe it or not that was enough to get him on board. With the 12 boxes we got last night and the twelve from a couple of days ago, I don't have any room in my pantry. There is more cereal behind those boxes in the picture! Anyways, we did two more cereal transactions with details below.

Count Chocula (4) $9.96
-(2) $1/2
-$6.67 ($10/6 Hy-Vee Q)
-$4 ($6 Catalina- $1 per box)
-$2.71 MM!

Multi Grain Cheerios (2) $6.98
-(2) $.75/1
-$3.33 ($10/6 Hy-Vee Q)
-$2 ($6 Catalina- $1 per box)
-$.15 or >$.08 per box

Overall, this transaction was a $2.56 MM...plus the 6 boxes of cereal!
Next cereal transaction:

Cocoa Puffs (2) $5.98
-(2) $.55/1
-$3.33 ($10/6 Hy-Vee Q)
-$2 ($6 Catalina- $1 per box)
-$.45 MM!

Multigrain Cheerios (2) $6.98
-(2) $.75/1
-$3.33 ($10/6 Hy-Vee Q)
-$2 ($6 Catalina- $1 per box)
-$.15 or >$.08 per box

Trix (2) $6.18
-(2) $.55/1
-$3.33 ($10/6 Hy-Vee Q)
-$2 ($6 Catalina- $1 per box)
-$.25 MM!

Overall, this transaction was a $.56 MM...plus the 6 boxes of cereal. How could I not be tempted to go back and do it yet again? I don't have any more room in the pantry!

Yet another pic of Haylee...my lil chunk!

Walgreens 8/29

I would have to agree with most people when they say CVS is way better than Walgreens. However, there are some good deals this week. I did two transactions and came home with the products below. I only had $6 RR from last week and because my two transactions were almost the same, I wasn't able to use RR from transaction one for transaction two. So, my OOP is way high, but I have a ton of RR to use next week. I hope there are some good deals coming up too!

Soft Soap Body Wash (4) $14
-(4) $1/1 MQ (from CVS)
-(2) $5 RR
-Free!

Wags Perfection Tampons (2) $3.98
-(2) $2 RR
-$.02 MM!

Listerine Zero $2.99
-$2 MQ
-$1 RR
-$.01 MM!

Breathe Right (2) $8
-(2) $4 RR
-Free!

Carmex Moisture Plus (2) $4
-(2) $2 RR
-Free!

Colgate Total $2.99
-$1 MQ
-$2 RR
-$.01 MM!

Irwin Supplements $10
-$10 RR
-Free!

Although it was a lot OOP, I have A LOT to spend next week as everything was free or better after RR. I also got a catalina for Free Jumpstart to Healthy Fall survival kit. I doubt I will get it as it says limited to the first 5,000. We'll see...by the picture it looks like a bag, water bottle, jump rope and something else.

Hy-Vee 8/28....Cereal at 90% Savings!

I don't normally shop at Hy-Vee, but read about this great General Mills Cereal deal. As you can see from the picture I bought 12 boxes of cereal. This was done in two transactions, one by my mom and one by me. This deal is over 8/31 and I am highly considering going back for more.

Trix (2) $6.18
-(2) $.55 MQs
-$3.33 (Hy-Vee Q $10/6)
-$2 ($6 Catalina wyb 6)
-$.10 MM!

Lucky Charms $3.49
-$1.67 (Hy-Vee Q $10/6)
-$1 ($6 Catalina wyb 6)
-$.82

Cookie Crisp 3.49
-$1.67 (Hy-Vee Q $10/6)
-$1 ($6 Catalina wyb 6)
-$.82

Count Chocula $2.49
-$1.67 (Hy-Vee Q $10/6)
-$1 ($6 Catalina wyb 6)
-$.18 MM!

Multigrain Cheerios (2) $6.98
-$1/2 MQ
-$3.33 (Hy-Vee Q $10/6)
-$2 (Catalina wyb 6)
-$.65 or $.33 each

Wheaties Fuel (3) $12.87
-(3) $.75/1 MQ
-$5 (Hy-Vee Q $10/6)
-$3 (Catalina wyb 6)
-$2.62 or $.87 each

Coco Puffs (2) $5.98
-(2) $.55/1 MQs
-$3.33 (Hy-Vee Q $10/6)
-$2 (Catalina wyb 6)
-$.45 MM!

Overall, I spent $4.18 for 12 boxes of cereal which is $.35 per box of cereal. The Wheaties Fuel are what brought that total up. If/when I do this deal again, I will probably stay away from the Wheaties. Before the coupons, my combined totals was $41.48. So, this makes for a savings of 90%

CVS 8/23....better late than never!

So I was going to put in the title that I saved 60%, but that number doesn't look that great for CVS. However, I got two expensiver things that we really needed and still managed to save that much! The breakdown is under the picture... Puffs (6) $5.94
-(2) $.25/3 MQs
-$5.54 or $.92 each
-I needed to add these to get to $25 of P&G, but will put those ECB with the Charmin.

Charmin (2) $19.98
-$1 MQ
-$.25 MQ
-$10 ECB
-$8.73 or $4.37 each or $.27 per double roll!

John Frieda Shampoo/Conditioner/Frizz Ease $18
-$3/2 MQ
-$2/1 MQ
-$5 ECB
-$8 or $2.67 each
-I needed the Frizz Ease that is regualr price $10 at CVS, so not a bad deal!

Listerine (2) $2.48
-$1 MQ
-$4 ECB
-$2.52 MM!
-Found the clearanced ones :)

So I burnt through some of the ECB I had. I went in with over $40 and left with $19. I paid $.71 OOP and always forget that I have CVS gift cards that Iam earning from Light Speed Panel. (Love those surveys by the way! Earned $40 CVS gift cards in under 4 months!)

We watched my sisters kids tonight. It's crazy how big they are getting! Kael just turned three, Taylore is already in 4th grade, and Grace just started kindergarten. Haylee's cousins can't get enough of her....including the two not pictured (Cade and Camdyn).

Crazy CVS 8/21

Mom and I ventured out to CVS with Haylee this morning for next weeks deals. I was amazed that we both received $5/$15 today from the coupon machine! All in all it was a good trip, but there was a little problem with the Blink. See the breakdown....

Blink $7.99
-$1 MQ (Printable wouldn't come off for me but did for my mom, but there was a $1 MQ attached to the box that came off!)
-This was never rang up I guess so I didn't get the ECB. Weird because the coupon came off. I guess it is kind of the same as getting ECB and the product?!
-$1 MM!

Glade Sense and Spray (2) $10
-(2) $3 MQs
-$3 ECB
-$1 or $.50 each

Sobe (6) BOGO Sale $5.37
-(3) BOGO MQs $5.07
-$.30 or $.05 each

Nail Polish (2) $3.98
- We had to add this because in the end, my total was negative almost $4. It wasn't until we left that I figured out that the Blink didn't get rung up.
-$3.98

Overall, I paid $.71 OOP and a $2 ECB, so $2.71. I received $4 back ($1 Green Bag Tag), so $1.29 MM!

Here is Haylee watching TV and you can really see her teeth here!

Will do the savings update on the next post.

Probably Best CVS Shopping Trip Yet 8/14

My subtotal was actually negative! I have never seen this before, so I had to take a picture. The smallest ECB I had was $4 and I wasn't sure they would take it as it would cut into the tax. The cashier said, let's try. Sure enough, it took off the whole $4, $.32 of that being tax! As you can see, I paid $1.65 out of pocket, used a $4 ECB, so really this all cost $5.65. But wait, did I mention I got $14.99 back in ECB? That makes it a profit of $9.34!!!

From reading other blogs, people have said that limit 6 on the Sobe deal means 12 drinks, but I wanted to ask and they said limit 6 drinks, so I will be going back! This is next weeks deal by the way. My favorite CVS in Lincoln has them going Saturday at open!

Here is the breakdown:

Sobe (6) BOGO Sale $5.37
-(3) BOGO MQs $5.17
-$.20 or $.03 each
- I told him from the start the max value of the coupon was $1.69. He said it was easier for him to just do $1.79. But he only did one at $1.79 and the other two at $1.69.

Blink $7.99
-$1.50 Printable MQ
-$7.99 ECB
-$1.50 MM!

Zegerid $9.99
-$4 MQ
-$7 ECB
-$1.01 MM!

Right Guard Deoderant (8) BOGO Sale $17.96
-(4) BOGO MQs 17.96
-(2) $1.50 MQs $3
-$1 MQ $1
-$4 MM!
-I had another $1 MQ I could have used but counted wrong. Oh well, still an amazing deal! I don't know how that all would have worked anyways with my total.

I also had a $5/$30 CVS coupon that I used, so you can see why this trip was so much fun! I was going to get the Crest toothpaste deal too, but that tag wasn't up yet and last weeks deal may have trumped next weeks. I can always go back :)

And here is Haylee! She looks huge here...and she kind of is. Her 4 month check-up was Thursday and turns out she is 99% in height and 96% in weight. The doctor said she is more mature than most 4 month olds!

Swag Bucks

So, I have a new addition to my blog....and that is the Swag Bucks banner to the right. All of the blogs I read talk about this "Swag Bucks" so I decided to give it a go. Although I am not sure how it works yet, I am sure I will learn quickly! Unfortunately there was a code to enter when I signed up that I didn't. Crap, BackToSchool would have gotten me an extra 40 points. My first "search" for facebook yielded 11 points. I guess we'll see where this goes :)

CVS 8/11

After Contessa Kris at Coupon Wisdom posted about how the Bic Razors coupons come off at CVS, I had to go and get me some razors. I also seen on iheartcvs that the Caliber pencils would be free after using those $1/2 Qs thats keep printing. Anyhow, here is the breakdown:
Bic Bella Razors (2) $10.49
-BOGO Q $6.99
-$3/1 MQ
-$.50 or $.25 each
Bic Mango Razors (2) $10.04
-BOGO Q $6.69
-$3/1 MQ
-$.35 or $.17 each
Caliber Pencils (4) $2 They substituted the 10 pack as they were out of the 24 pack
-(2) $1/2
-Free!
In total I spent $.85 plus tax for a total of $1.78 and got 40 pencils, 14 razors and $1 ECB for my Green Bag Tag!!!

Now here is a picture of Haylee from last night eating her cereal. She is 4 months and 11 days old here! We go to the doctor today. First time since she was 6 weeks, so I am excited to see her stats :) I will post them today or maybe tomorrow. I plan to go back to CVS as I have another set of razor coupons to do this deal again, but there were only a total of 5 left at the CVS last night.

I had to go shopping at Walgreens yesterday because I had over $20 in RR that were going to expire. I also got a $5/$25 coupon in my e-mail from Walgreens. I did two transactions and the picture below is what I bought in those two transactions. Here is the breakdown...
