It's been a while since I have had an exciting trip to CVS. This one did it for me. However, I am reading that some places got a $5 MIR in their papers for the Speed Stick. We didn't get it, but if we did that would have been a HUGE money maker for me. Oh well, still great! Here it is:

One more Saturday trip to CVS and Walgreens!

I had $18 towards the gift card at CVS which meant I HAD to go spend another $12 to get $10 back! I was down to only $.75 ECBs as I had used my gift cards on Fun Size packs of M&Ms for an activity at school. This is also why I already had $18 towards the gift card.

And, because CVS and Walgreens are always so close to each other, I decided to stop off at Walgreens and use the other two South Beach Diet coupons I was able to print off.

The first picture is from CVS and the second from Walgreens (2 stores, 5 transactions).

Walmart 1/15....just some deals I read about....

I was on the hunt for clearanced Cortaid and did not find any and also the Benefiber stick packs that I couldn't find either. I have enough coupons for 9 of them and over $5 in overage. Still a little bummed about that one. However, there were two things I scored and wasn't planning on, the holiday Ziploc Bags and holiday Duck Brand packing tape. Here it all is:

Walgreens 1/14.....BRAINSTRONG!

We needed eggs for breakfast this morning and I knew Walgreens was the best place to go as I had RRs I could use to pay and a dozen eggs are on sale for $1.29. Naturally, I look around the store for clearance and scored the jackpot on Brainstrong. For some reason though, the coupon in the January books comes off as a manufacturers coupon and therefore I had to pay tax on all of the vitamins. I am not complaining....okay maybe just a little bit as this all should have cost me $2.67 less. Anyways, here is the whole breakdown:

Eggs (2) $2.58

Old Spice Spray (2) $5.98 (clearance)
-(2) $2/1 MQs

CVS 1/8.....All and Rembrandt

I did my shopping on Sunday before I found out that the All Oxi-Active was ringing up at $2 each. I found out right away when I had to add one to my transaction because I took the 6 Free and Clear. The one that I just so happened to pick was the Oxi-Active and I didn't watch it ring up, but when I didn't get two $10 gift cards, I knew something was wrong. I added another Rembrandt toothpaste to get my gift card. Here is how I did:

Crystal Light Drink Mix (4) $2
-(2) $1/2 MQs
-FREE!

M&Ms $.75
-$.75 ECB Earned
-FREE!

Rembrandt (9) $35.91
All (7) $26
-(7) $1/1 MQs
-(2) $5/2 MQs
-(5) $2/1 MQs
-(2) $10 Gift Cards Earned
-$14.91 or $.93 per item
-Even if you figure all of the Rembrandt to be free, this means the All detergent cost just $2.13 each!

Subtotal: $64.66
MQs: $29
SQs/ECBs: $8
Tax: $4.27
Gift Card: $27.27
OOP: $0

I started with $25 in gift cards and $8 ECBs. I only ended with $17.73 in gift cards and $.75 in ECBs, so this actually all cost me $14.52 and 1/3 of that was tax. Not bad! :)

Walgreens 1/5.....Three Trips in One!

This is actually three different trips/stores all in one entry. I originally got the Brainstrong Toddler. It was going to work out perfect as I was going to get 6 of them for free. However, the register wouldn't ring them up BOGO. The cashier did this manually, but making the free ones $.01. When the store coupon was scanned, it took of $5 for the regular priced ones, but only $.01 for the "free" ones. Anyways, I returned them and got my $6 back. Now, I know that $6 for 6 boxes of vitamins that normally cost $15ish each is a great deal, but that is something I have to work on this year. (Don't buy it just because it's a good deal....only when it's free or we need it!)

Anyways, here is how I did. Again, this is three stops at three stores, but listed as one.

Studio 35 Nail Polish Remover $.99
-$1/1 WQ (adjusted down to $.99)
-FREE!

Got2B Hair Gel $1.79 (clearance)

Charlie Brown Christmas Book $2.49 (clearance)
-just thought it was cute for 75% off and Haylee loves books that make noise!

Phillips' Milk of Magnesia (4) $11.96

-$5 RR Earned
-$1.45 or $.29 each

-(5) $2.50/2 MQs
-BOGO 1/2 sale (took off $4.25)
-$.15 or $.015 each

Loreal Make-Up (2) $3 (clearance)
-$2/1 WQ
-$1/1 WQ
-(2) $2/1 MQs
-$4 MM!
-this was ringing up really funny, so she modified the prices which are way lower than I thought. I was expecting about $2 in overage, but I got $4!

Subtotal: $53.41
MQs: $29.40
WQs/RRs: $19.82
Total: $4.19
Tax: $4.17
