CVS 5/6...Savings of over 100%

This is my first trip to CVS this week and I am glad I waited. The $5/$20 coupon that came out in all of the newspapers helped me tremendously today. I didn't get it in my paper, but printed one off from an online newspaper. It didn't go through and I wasn't going to fuss about it, but the cashier pushed it through anyways! Here is how I did:



Tostitos Chips (2) $5.98
Tostitos Dip (3) $8.97
Pepsi 2L (2) $1.76

-$5 ECB Earned
-$4.95 or $.71 each

Right Guard Deoderant (2) $4.98
-BOGO MQ ($2.49- hoping for full, but didn't happen)

Colgate Toothpaste (2) $5.54

-$.75/1 MQ
-$5.54 ECB Earned
-$1.75 MM!

My subtotal was $27.23. I used the $5/$20 first and that brought me down to $22.23. From there I used $11 in MQs and $10.99 in ECBs. I paid $.24 plus $.74 tax for a total of $.98 on a gift card. I also got back $12.54 in ECBs which is a gain of more than what I paid, therefore....a MM trip!
