Walgreens 12/31....Saved 105% ($2 MM!)

So I ordered some Sinex coupons on Ebay and am still awaiting those. I already had three so I wanted to use those with the Puffs coupons that expired today. So, it was not as big of a money maker as it could have been if I would have had my 20 Sinex coupons I ordered. On top of that, I was hoping the cashier would have taken off $1.69 for each Puffs, but she only took off the after in-ad coupon price of $.89 for each. Oh well, I still made it a $2 MONEYMAKER... (my tax was $1.84 though :() Here is what I got!

Puffs (2) $3.38
-(2) Free wyb 2 Vicks- took off $1.78
-WQ $.89- took off $1.60

Overall, I spent $5.30 OOP (includes tax) and $7 RR. I earned $12 in RR, so not a bad deal for all of this stuff. My total would have been $1.60 less if she would have given me the full price off of the Puffs. Either way it was still free, so I can't complain!

I think I am done with the Chex Mix deal at Walgreens with the 20 bags that I have bought. However, I think it is a better deal to do it on Saturday of this week so you can use the $.99/3 Wags Coupon in their monthly booklet. With that and depending what coupons you had, you could get 6 bags and make a couple of bucks. If you didnt have any coupons other than that Walgreens one, you could get 6 bags for $.46 or $.08 each! CVS and Walgreens 12/23 and Haylee with Santa!!!

I had to go to CVS and Walgreens today to use up Jingle Cash and Extra Care Bucks before they expired. I did pretty good for having to "use them up". At Walgreens I did two transactions, but will list it as one to make it easier on me.

This is from Walgreens

Overall I saved 75% at Walgreens. Before all coupons and sales, my total should have been $39.89. I ended up paying $7.05 OOP and getting $2 RR back. I spent $4.50 in RR too. Not bad though!

This is from CVS

My subtotal was -$1.65 and I ended up paying $.12 OOP. Before coupons, my total should have been $43.24. I used up around $8 ECB that didn't get recycled (the coke). So really I saved 83%!!

And last, but certainly not the least, here is Haylee with Santa for the first time! My mom and I waited in the line for about an hour and when we got up there I seen it was $20 for two 5 x 7 photos. Luckily, I was prepared with my camera. She sat on Santa's lap for about a minute, I took two pictures and I thought this one was perfect. She wasn't scared at all! That's my girl :)

Walgreens 12/10 $3.13 MM! and that includes tax :)

I was hoping there would be tissue paper left when I got to Walgreen's and they had plenty! My trip worked out almost perfectly. The only problems were, I didn't see any signage for the Revlon Nail Polish and the 4-day ad was out not the original ad. So, instead I substituted all of my Snickers Nutcrackers for the nailpolish. I was waiting to buy the 18 of these for when I was going to do this tissue paper deal again. The other problem came with my Butterfinger Snackerz. The cashier only took off $.39 for each instead of the original price. Oh well, they were still less than $.20 each.

Hallmark Tissue Paper (5) $5.94
-$3.94 WQ
-$5 RR
-$3 MM!

Butterfinger Snackerz (4) $3.38
-$1.82 WQ
-(2) BOGO $.78

Crest Toothpaste $3.49
-$.75 MQ
-$2.50 RR
-$.24

Playtex Tampons $6.99
-$2 MQ

-$2.99

Because my order before tax was over $25, I got the Bonus $5 RR! I started with $14 in RR, but could only use $9, so had $5 left over and earned another $14.50. I soent $2.38 OOP, so it was a $3.13 MM! I have $19.50 now to spend and am planning another trip today to take advantage of the Hallmark money maker and the bonus RRs.

Haylee in one of her new outfits from Once Upon a Child

I put this on Haylee this morning and couldn't help but take pictures of her because she looked too cute in this outfit. I bought it at Once Upon a Child Saturday during their big clearance event. It still had the tags on it from Children's Place and I bought it for $3.60!

Target 12/5 ...... Headache of a trip!

So the first pictures is of everything that went wrong in this trip while the second picture is everthing that made me money.

Here is the story behind the "problem" items. Starting with the not pictured...I picked up three Air Wick Candles that were $2.99 and tried to use three $3 manufacturers coupons. I am glad I was paying attention while the coupons were being taken off. For some reason it was only taking off $1 for each coupon. Apparently this put me on the cashiers bad side. She started saying stuff about how they get in trouble for "giving stuff away for free". Excuse me what? I said "Target is still getting paid for these, but it is by the manufacturer. Anyways, she wouldn't fix it for me and asked if I wanted to take the candles off my order. I said yes, she gave the coupons back and I will try it at a different Target $$Next, I picked up 4 Air Wick Oil Refils at $2.99 a piece and 3 Night Light Holders. This is how it should have went, but she gave most of my coupons back to me so these will be going back.

Air Wick Refils (4) $$11.96
-$3/3 MQ
-$8.96

Air Wick Night Light Warmers (3) $5.97
-(3) Free when you buy refil MQs (5.97)
-(2) Free when you buy 2 refils TQs ($3.98)
-$3.98 MM

So, I will be taking these all back and getting like $20 back. I will also be taking back the Barilla Pasta that I thought I had the free coupon for from VocalPoint, but had the BOGO Friends coupon instead.

Here are the good/great deals I picked up though.

I was able to get the six sleepwear items for a $7.12 profit by shopping off the clearance racks. I plan to give the shorts for Christmas, maybe keep a top and donate the rest.

The other big money maker was the Beneful dog food. I bought seven for $11.34 ($1.62 each), but had $14 in MQs ($2 each), so a $2.66 MM!

Overall, the trip was good. Could have been great if the cashier didn't act as though I was robbing her. She tried to tell me she was doing me a favor by accepting some of my coupons. I then informed her that all of my coupons were legit and she stopped at that. I will be contacting Target though, as she was way out of line for basically saying that I was using the coupons wrong.

CVS 11/26/10 - - Hello Rainchecks :)

I should have went to CVS yesterday, because as you can tell from the picture below, I had to get rainchecks. Not that I don't mind them, but I had my scenario all worked out two spend on tax out of pocket (just over $2). Instead, I put everything I can in one transaction and spend more out of pocket than I wanted to. Oh well, still all very good deals.

Two of my bigger money makers are in the form of rainchecks now, so I will have to see if I can find a store with some stock before the coupons that make them money makers expire.

Thanksgiving Walgreens 84% Saving...with a Couple of Toys!

I had my whole Walgreens trip planned out perfectly. I was coming in with $5 in RR, would spend $5.42 OOP in four transation (that include 7% tax) and would have $27.45 left in RR to buy Haylee some toys that were 50% off.

I thought everything was going perfectly as my Walgreens was fully stocked. I go to check out and Judy (my favorite) is there. There also happens to be another lady who I can't stand hovering over Judy's shoulder. One of the deals I was going to do in 3 out of my 4 transactions was shot down! (Buy two Secret Deoderants get the Old Spice Spray free) I was going to buy trial sizes, which no where do it say you can't. Oh well, I tried to think on my feet which didn't work to well with a nearly 8 month old and a sister in-law who is out drug store shopping with me for the first time.

Any how, this is how I did...Not as good as I wanted, but still pretty good as I saved 84%. I am going to a different Walgreens to try my deal again today!

I did five transactions to get all of this stuff.

Cotton Swabs $2.99

First things first, Haylee's top teeth are finally starting to cut through. Her poor gums have been swollen for what seems to be months and finally they are starting to come through. If I can see right, I think she has four coming through up top too! Like the doctor said she is a pretty mature little girl. I can already see what is in store for me :)

Then, here is my savings update. I had recepits coming out of my ears, so had to post and show that although I don't have time to post, I am still saving money :)

I read on other blogs that Old Navy had an extra 50% off of their clearance and there was a 30% off coupon that expired yesterday that could be stacked. On top of it all, I had a gift card that had $27 left on it. See below for pictures of what I bought.

Purple Shirt $1.56 (orig. $6.50)
Plaid Shirt $2.79 (orig. $14.50)
Jeans $5.25 (orig. $24.50)
Jeans $3.32 (orig. $24.50)
Green Shirt $2.26 (orig. $24.50)
Floral Top $4.19 (orig. $26.50)
Cardigan $1.74 (orig. $19.50)
White Shirt $1.92 (orig. $14.50)
Plaid Dress $3.14 (orig. $16.50)
Flower Dress $3.32 (orig. $16.50)
Purple Pants $1.57 (orig. $16.50)
Tan Pants $1.57 (orig. $16.50)

Before the gift card my total was $35.10 (includes tax). Without the clearance and the 30% off coupon, the total merchandise was $224. That is a savings of 85%, but if you add in the gift card, my savings was 96%. :)

Walgreens 11/6 $57.52 in products for $7.90 proft after tax!!!

I knew I wanted to hit up Walgreens one more time before tomorrow and I was able to get there today. I started with $8.50 in RR and ended with $22. So overall it was a profit of $7.90!
